💡 OBS Studio is a free and open-source, cross-platform screencasting and streaming app. It is available for Windows, macOS and Linux.

To start streaming in OBS Studio software, open file > settings > stream and select "Custom" from the list of services.

The next steps are:

  1. Create new stream.

  2. Generate key in the Broadcast Tab

  3. Copy URL of the stream and paste it into the «Server» field in the OBS Studio window.

  4. Copy the Broadcast Key and paste it into the «Stream Key» field in the OBS Studio window.

  5. Click «Apply» to save the selected items

Customize and create a scene

Before you start broadcasting, you need to set up OBS Studio, i.e. decide what will be shown to the audience. This can be a screen or part of it, a video file, a webcam, an external capture device, and much more. The content displayed in a broadcast is determined by its sources.

The sources in OBS Studio can be:

All sources are combined into scenes for quick access.

When you are ready - start broadcast by clicking on Start Streaming button.
